Default Engine Problem

(2.3) Ok heres the problem.........Car runs like S&!#.......lol........If i snap the throttle it seems as if it is trying to back fire through the intake, If i do it slowly then I dont hear it, I believe its only runing on three cylinders, I can disconnect the back plug wire(#4) an the sound of the engine does not change, the plug is getting fire. Check the plug and the wire. Then check and make sure the distributor is problem free. Had a similar problem with a chevy the other day and it was a detonated piston.
