Default Best overall exhausts?

Hello, I know similar topics have been asked before, but most of the time the focus is either in the performance, or the sound. I want to know what you guys think is the overall best exhaust system, sound, longevity, and performance as a last priority. Obviously it should hurt performance, but this is for a friend of mine that has a 1990 Mustang that just wants her car to run smooth like stock and have a good sounding exhaust. So having uber increases in performance is not really that important.

Just as long as it'll last a long time and have a good sound.

Thanks guys.

Headers, X or H pipe, and some aftermarket mufflers will work. Personally I like flowmaster mufflers.

flowmasters sound good, but if you live in an area were they spread road salt they can rust out pretty quick. borla has a million mile warranty on their systems, but you are going to pay for it.

Hm, no other brands? She lives in Missouri, so they might get some snow there, not completely sure, but just in case. There isn't anything not quite as expensive but have a better resistance to rust than flowmaster? How are magnaflows or exhausts from steeda? What do you think of BBK or MAC?

bbk doesnt make mufflers but you can get mac mufflers with black coating which i think helps to make them last longer

How do they sound? Anyone know? If anything, I'd just tell her to get the flowmasters, but wondering if anyone has any better suggestions.

Not as mean and deep sounding?
As soon as I put on my packs I noticed it was deeper than my flows(40's) with the offroad X
They also SCREAM!! at WOT, I enjoy the setup lots
But I do have a BBK Shorty Catt'd H I have laying around, that barely has any miles on it.
Going to slap that on and see how it sounds compared to my current X pipe.
Havn't heard it with the packs tho.

Anyone here interested in a Shorty Catt'd H Pipe I bought last year?
New it sells for around $350
It's got about 2k-3k miles on it, selling for $200
Nothing wrong with it, no rust nothing.
Just bought it last year and decided, Hey, I live in NH and don't need Cats. Why have em?
