Hello, I am new to the forum and could use a little help. I recently (2 days ago) purchased a 1989 coupe 5.0 That was originally a 5 speed car, but after the last owner blew the t-5 he decided to put a c4 in it. Well he went to the junkyard and picked up a c4 and put it in the car. After putting the c4 in he discovered that the tranny was no good, and got mad and sold the car. Here is where the question comes, I bought it off of him and wanted to put a 5 speed back in it but when I started looking for a used t-5 I was having a hard time finding one, and ended up buying a t-5 out of a 84' GT. But the tranny is all I have. Since the car and motor is a 1989, but the tranny is an 1984, when Ibuya bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate, and all that good stuff will I need to get one for a 1989 or a 1984? When I was looking at bell housing and clutches and such, they were listing them as 86'-93'. Also I was wondering if the crossmember from the c4 that is in it now will fit the t-5 Iam going to put in it? Thanks everyone for any help.
