Default cam lift 390 fe block

Im taking out a .548 lift hydraulic cam, and I want to go with a .560 solid lift cam. I run stock steel heads and will upgrade the valve springs accordingly. Is the .560 to big? will I run the chance of a valve hitting a piston? Any old school FE big block guy's who can give good solid advice? Thank you

P-V clearance has nothing to do with gross valve lift. When the valve is fully opened, the piston is any where from 106* to 112* (hence inches) down the bore. Plus, a .560" lift SFT is gross lift. Take the .014" to .024" of lash out and you'll less net lift than what you had.

Good Luck.
