does anyone know how to reset a computer on a 1990 gt 5.0 ??? And is it behind the passenger kick panel?

My tps sensor is all messed up when its unplugged the car runs perfect, but when i plug it inand start it it idles at 3000rpm and stays there also when im driving itll stay at 3k without giving any gas....

please help?

 

To reset the computer disconnet the negative battery cable for at least 15 minutes. Also (correct me if I am wrong) I believe that you can adjust the TPS with the mount screw.

 

yes you can adjust it that way and maybe its your iac (idle air control valve) sticking have you checked the voltage on your tps?

 

im not sure how to check the voltage, how do you do it
