I want to get my windows tinted. ? is on a sunny day in NY,
how dark would i have to get my windows so you wont be able to see threw them( or very little) when near the glass.

 

15 % on the rears with 25% on the front sides. It will be a little hard to see out of at night though.

 

i would go 15% all around. ive got 20% all around and on a SUNNY day...people can see in. they may not be able to make out what i look like but they sure as hell can see what im doing. also, i can see out of mine perfectly fine on the sides. not sure what ericdk5.0 is talkig about.

 

go with 5. people wont see what you are doing and it will look really nice. i have done 5% on two of my stangs and im getting ready to do it on another now. it does make it a little harder to see at night though

 

With 5%, you get used to it. so even at night youll be ok. But i don't know about your tint laws.

 

I wouldn't go any lighter than 20%, just for the record 70% is the limit in NY so as far as tint goes you're pretty much Fed. You will get tickets for it too, that's the only reason I havn't gotten mine done yet.

I have 12% (2 layors of 35%) and I can't see s*** at night. It looks great during the day though.

 

5% tint meaning that the windows have 95% tint???

 

20% on my truck wasnt as dark as i thought it would be...i would go darker if i were 2 tint again...but the tint it stayin of the shelby...i like ppl 2 see whos driving it...
