Default Tech gurus needed!

Ok My 2001 saleen speedometer (gauge) stopped working and I just bought another saleen gauge cluster to replace it. I am going to swap out the old non working one with the new one I just bought off ebay. The problem is the new gauge cluster(odometer reads 69,000K)I bought has more miles than my current non working gauge cluster(odometer 56,000K). If I was going to swap clusters, will the computer automatically pick up my current mileage or will the odometer read new more mileage due to the new cluster?I dont want tomy car to read more miles than it actually has. Please, any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your help man. I really appreciate it. So I have a quieston for your friend or you if u know. Dont the gt mustangs come with 150 mph. So did his car read right after the saleen cluster swap? And my buddie had to use the stock keyless entry to make his car work with a new cobra cluster. He has a gt as well. His car didnt start after he installed the new cobra cluster so he had to alarm his car and disarm so the cluster could get mated with the car.

he had gears so he changed something but everything was cool if any bugs do arise just let me know, there easy to work out and be sure to disconnect your battery while changing out the cluster if you dont you could short something out.

you might have to recalibrate the computer after installation, either with a handheldtuner or a dyno shop would do it for a fair price. you wont know untill you install it.

you have to switch out the circuity in the back of the gauge or the theft system will activate, but if you just boguht a new gauge cluster it doesnt include a new computer thing back there and youll see what I am talkin about
