so my friend has a 2006 Nissan Altima 3.5 seR, its pretty quick. but he bought a new intake manifold and put it on and wanted to see how much it did for him. i raced him before the manifold when my car had no tune on it so i reverted my car to stock to race him again, it helped him a lot.

but now to the depressing part. i wanted to see how much my tuner helped me. When i raced him without it i beat him by 1.5 cars, but with the tune on i only beat him by a half of a car. so the tune took hp away from me. does anyone have any ideas as to why? help would greatly be appreciated. thanks

 

When you raced him with the tune did he already have the intake on, or did you race him tuned AND untuned before his intake?

 

i raced him tuned and untuned with his intake on. still kinda ticked about it.

 

well how many time did u race? two guys could race twenty times, and it could be a different winner by a different amount every time. maybe u got a bad start r shifts. i think this means u need to race him again

 

i raced him twice. well like 4 times in all. without the tune twice and with the tune twice. still 1.5 cars without tune and still .5 cars with the tune. pretty constant

 

put in some 93 octane

 

i do use 93 octane. lol
