Default noisy problem

Hi all. I have 2003 Mustang with about 41,000 miles on it. A few weeks ago I had new brake pads put on (they also resurfaced the rotors). But yesterday a loud squealing noise developed in the front passenger side wheel. It's not the typical screechy brake noise. This noise happens not only when I brake , but also when I 'm just driving down the road. It also comes and goes. I have to assume it has something with the work that was performed a few weeks ago. It just seems like too much of a coincidence that work was done in the wheel area and now there is something wrong in that area.

I'm taking the car in on Friday to have them take a look at it.
Does anyone have an idea of what the cause might be? Maybe something was installed incorrectly?

The reason I ask is because I would love to have a little insight as to what the problem might be before I take it in. So this way I'll have at least some idea what the mechanic might tell me the problem is. Because I just get the feeling that even if it was their fault, they'll tell me the problem is completely unrelated to the brake job they did. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Tough to say without looking at it, but it could be that the pads didn't seat properly. Did you break them in right? If not that might cause some sqeeling. If thats not it, it could be bearings, but I doubt it. I've heard of the rivets in pads breaking loose and I bet that would cause some sqeeling too. Hope that was helpful.

Thanks for the reply. This does help. Now I'll at least have some idea of what the mechanic may tell me the problem is.
