weird? reverse burnout but not forward?
thats definitely wierd. what gearing you got in the rear ?? granted reverse is geared WAY LOWER than your forward gears, but, no matter what, you should be able to spin your tires however much you want to, unless its a 2.3 or something to that effect.......maybe you need a tune-up.......REALLY BAD !!!!!
its because of the weight transfer, when you go forwas the weight travels to the rear and puts more pressure on the tires, when you go backward the weight travels foward and you have LESS weight on the rear, making it very easy to spin. Thats why your front brakes do most of the work
it seems like I spin them a bunch but I don't hear the squeal... i do have a speaker box in the trunk, maybe that makes a difference? but yeah i cant even do burnouts when i hold the break and try
when I do that i just start slowly going forward, do my tires grip too much? it seems like from the line im real slow but from 20-40 im REALLY quick... think somethings screwy with my computer?
I assume (bad) that you're power braking and have drum rear brakes. Two reasons. One reverse is a lower gear than 1st. Two brakes are made to have more holding power for forward rotation so they have less holding power in reverse. Larger shoe to the rear. It called servo self energizing shoes are made to wrap inside the drum. Hope this explains the phenom.

Sounds like my 2.3!
