Flywheel or flex plate? Autos use a flex plate, manuals use a flywheel.

I know there are different flywheel sizes for Ford, one for 10/10.5" clutches and one for 11" clutches. Maybe there are different size flexplates for the C4/C6? Try asking in the Classic section, there are a lot of auto guys with C4 and C6 setups.
