lower control arm bolt problem
hey guys... im trying to put lowering springs in my 01 gt coupe... and i got the passenger side stock spring out fine... but the drivers side one seems to have a probelm.. when i try and unbolt the lower control arm from teh axle mount, the nut cam eoff fine.. then i started to pull the bolt out and at teh veryend out the tread sticking out on the nut side (facing outward) the whole rubber bushing seems to be spinning inside the control arm. its like the bolt is stuck to the metal guide it goes thru when it passes in the bushing... i dotn no how to can pull the bolt out! any suggestions??
This sounds so familiar since I just had the same problem. In my case trying to get it out resulted in a broken finger (trying to hit the bolt out and missed) and no matter how I jacked the rearend I couldnt move it. Now since I replaced mine with lakewoods I ended up taking a sawzall tomine control arm cutting it in half and was able to get it out then.
