GT/CS?
i have a guy up the street with a navy blue 06-07 mustang its real sharp looking, and on the side it says "GT/CS" ive never seen one that says CS on it. i dont know if its ricer power stickers or if its a model i dont know about. can anyone lend some info? just curious
If it says "GT/CS" on a fading, mid-body stripe then it is definitely NOT a ricer power sticker. It is going to be an 07 or 08 GT California Special. It has a different front and rear fascia than the stock GT (has the same ones as the Shelby GT's). It also has the lower quarter scoops and a two tone interior treatment standard. It is modeled after the 1968 GT/CS edition. The '68 had Shelby GT-350 styling cues and was only available in California.
I'm not sure why GT/CS's seem to be so rare (I've noticed the same thing) since you can order the CS package on any GT, so it's not exactly "Limited Production". At the dealer I found my white 08 CS at, they had 3 Shelby GT's and a Bullitt... but only the one CS.
HTH.

i was at a ford dealership a few months ago and they had 3 or 4 Gt/CS's and i asked the salesman what it meant and he didnt know and ive been wondering what it meant since then. so thanks for clearin it up.
they do look nice although where i live for every 10 cars 2 of them are stangs and thats the only GTCS ive seen so i guess either they're not selling or people dont have a clue and get baseline GT's instead
Ford made about 5160 GT/CSs in 2007...don't know what the 08 count will be. I live in a mid-size town in PA and it took my dealer almost 10 months to get a GT/CS on the lot...and its the one I bought the day they took it off the truck (I was a walk-in). He has since received two 08's...don't know why 08s are more available.
