What would i have to buy to get one on my lx?


Are there special retainers underneath? or could i just buy the kit and put it on?

 

yes, there are retainers. there's a total of 14 of them.

here's a pic of my car where you can see them. there's also one in front of the front tire, and one behind the rear tire. they're not there in the pic, but you can see the holes for them.

i was hoping i could just put it on instead of buying retainers... where are they located?

 

there's a horizontal one in front of the front tire
one horizontal one behind the front tire
one vertical in front of the door
one long one under the door
one vertical behind the door
one horizontal behind the door
and one horizontal behind the rear tire

and repeat for the other side

that sucks... how much would a kit of those cost?

 

if you bought them new, it'd probably cost a couple hundred bucks.

your best bet would be to try and get them at a junkyard.
