Default I THINK I GOT A PROBLEM

I WAS DRIVING TO WORK THE OTHER DAY AND I GAVE IT A LITTLE PEDDLE. HIT ABOUT 85 IN 5TH GEAR, THEN THREW IT IN NEUTRAL TO COAST TO A STOP SIGN. A SECOND AFTER I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL MY BATTERY LIGHT AND SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON FOR LIKE 3 SECONDS THEN WENT OFF, BUT SHE DIDNT STALL OUT. I WOULD APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE KNEW WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN ON WITH THAT! THANX ALOT

Hi

No idea but a stab in the dark.
Alt brushes sticking. Let it be for now and see if the error occurs more regular. Open hood and tap alt and see if error goes away. If not have it checked.

c
when you started coasting you probably loaded the cylinders with fuel and a sensor triped a momentary code
in the owners manual i think it says a momentary warning can be ignored
dont coast from 85 any more to nice a looking car to screw up

You got two problems, first one, 85 to a stop sign! lol slow down on roads like that. second just coasting without being in gear is bad for you trans let the motor slow you down and keep downshifting through the gears. if you need to stop fast keep it in whatever gear and pop into neutral just before you stop at around 1 - 1 1/2 rpm
