Default Clicking in rear end

I have a V6 mustang with 68k miles on it. In the last couple of months I've been noticing a deep clicking sound in the rear end of my car (possibly near the right rear end tire but I cant be sure) It happens when ever I shift grears (you can notice it the most in 1st and second), when I hit the gas pedal sometimes, and it will also happen once in a while when I go over a bump. I've brought it to 2 mechanics and there is nothing vissible from underneaththe car that could cause the noise. The two mechanics said itis mostlikely U-join wear or just wear in the rear end.

If any one has had the same problem or has an idea to what it could be please post it on the thread.

Default RE: Clicking in rear end

Does the noise increase or decrease when you brake? Do you feel a vibration when the noise is heard?

Could be rear axel seal, could be axel itself.

Hard to guess a random clicking sound lol...
