Default antenna
i was just wondering if there was any way to put down the antenna on my 83 mustang. cuz i think it looks bad like it a mile up in the sky

pull the ball off the top cut the antenna where you want it then shave it down and put the ball back on

go to a junkyard get one off a stang for like 5$, cut a section out of it.. weld it back up and paint it. voila

Here is full walkthrough on antenna shortening. http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/antenna1.htm But you might just want to get a windshield with a built in antenna. But they can be pricey.

i may be misreading this somehow or something, but if it a collapsible antenna and you want it shorter, why dont you just push it down. i may be mistaken, but this sounds like what you want to do.
