Scat? any good?
Hey all, so my Machinist was talking to me the other day and he said I should look into a Scat stroker kit rotating assembly (460 to 515). I've barely heard of this company but he believes they may be a little bit better then Eagle. So i figured I should ask around here and see if anyone has ever used this brand before.

RE: Scat? any good?
I'm running Scat rods in my 302. Their entry level stuff certainly isn't the highest quality stuff in the world, but it's still good and affordable, and more than suits the needs of what most people require in their street cars or even race cars. I've never known anyone to have a problem with a Scat product they got.

RE: Scat? any good?
Scat has been around for years they are one of the oldest manufacturer of engine parts. I have used there stuff and it is good. they have lower dollar stuff and then they have the high dollar billet crankshaft stuff also. there H-beam rods with the upgrade bolts will take around 1000 HP is what some racers are running and are very reasonable price. they lower $ stuff is cast in China just like Eagle but the Scat stuff is machined over here.
