I bought a 98 Mustang and I think the air bag may have been deployed.

Is there a way to tell if it has?

Anyone know the laws on selling a vehicle and disclosing this information? Is it the sellers responsibility?
If they got an insurance settlement and were paid by their insurance company to get the air bag fixed are they liable if they did not?

A friend of mine just bought an Explorer with the same situation.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh btw, how do you know or what makes you suspect that the airbag has deployed?

if there is a fault then the airbag light will flash. Make sure that the light comes on for 6 seconds and then goes out.

Yea, why do you think the airbags had deployed?

If the outer casings appear to have been "tampered" with, someone may have just stolen the airbags and the car was never in a wreck.

Carfax probably won't tell you detail like that.
