The other day I was at my local Ford dealership looking at the 2005 GTs when I noticed a red 2004 with the Boss stripes in the parking lot. I went over to take a closer look and it said Boss 283 on the side, but the car looked exactly like a regular 2004 Mustang. What is the deal with this? Is this an actual new Boss Mustang, or just someone who put in the engine themselves and painted it up??

But why is it 283 if its a sticker kit?? Wouldn't it be 302 or 429 or 351???

ive never heard of a boss 283. they have sticker kits for the boss 281 which is the 4.6.

now that i think of it, even if you bore out a 281 30 thousandths you would still get something like 286. sorry 283 doesnt seem to exist [sm=bounceybounce.gif]
