sorry this is problebly real dumb.
just got a 2001 gtlast night, tried to put package in back seat but when the pass seat handle is pulled the seat back does not fold forward and slide forward. i pulled the handle and the seat went upright then i had to use the track slide handle to pull the seat forward, is this right?

 

Are you talking about the handle on the lower rear of the actual seat?

 

there is a little tab on the bottom of the back of the seat that you need to flip up and the seat will go all the way forward. the handle on the side of the seat just adjusts it back and forth a little. the latch on the back lets it lean all the way forward, and you dont have to readjust the seat back after using that.

 

so dumb thanks. hadntthought to look there. i thought the whole seat folded up and slid forward. sorry
