96 3.8. I just want something that will hold me in a little more when I'm driving like a retard. Does it make a difference if I get the reclinable ones or not?

Depends on how you sit and how much use of the backseat you want. I've run Corbeau Forza II in two of my fox bodies. I like to sit straight up. If you recline at all while driving, these aren't for you. I'd look into A4s or CR1s from Corbeau. Great quality. I've pulled many 16 hour plus trips in mine and they don't sag in at all.

sounds like you really don't mean race seats, but sport seats instead.
find different ones to sit in. they are each different in how they will fit your butt. what we like - you won't. all those mentioned are good. you are paying for the name on some.
i use Corbeau's Forza II and i like them. they fit my butt and keep me in place when i go play. they are not a seat i want to spend several hours at a time in, but when running hard for short time, you don't feel the seat so much.

think about shimmingthe front of the seat frames up with some aluminum plate washers. this will tilt the top of the seat backs toward the rear seat some. home made tilt. problem is that it is real slow to adjust.
call the manuf.'s and ask who reps their products in your area.
call some car clubs in your area and ask who has seats you want to checkout.
go to car shows, look around and ask questions.
call wrecking yards to see if they have any good sport seats. go look look and sit.
think cheap and have fun.

I've looked at every junk yard here and there's nothing. I found a 96 sixer that was burned and a 96 cobra that was totalled.

Where do I shim the seat at? Also if I do get some other seats can I still use the automatic seats to move up and down?

it would probably make more sense to upgrade to a stock GT or cobraseat. aftermarket seats are expensive and IMO the money would be better used elsewhere.

Stock V6 and stock GT are the same.

Power seat features can be used with the right brackets, but it will make the seat sit very high - even at it's lowest point. I've always just gone to regular sliding brackets.... I don't move my seat ever, so I never use the power stuff anyway.
