When you push the clutch does it squeal at all or does it make noises when it's not pressed in at all?

Are you new to driving a stick? Have you gotten the friction point down on it?
Sounds like it could be you need a new clutch.

the clutch doesnt make noise, just had the ford dealer put a new clutch in it a couple months ago, cost 1,600.00. worked fine for a while then just started getting hard to put in gear.

try removing the floor mat. I have a racing clutch in mine and its hard to put in gear if the floor mat is there or even shift to any other gear. The clutch engages less than an inch off the floor so with the floor mat there its to thick for me to push all the way down to the floor for neutral.
