RE: radar/laser jammers
yeah, i knew that radar jammers are illegal. I was reading around and saw some really ****ty stories about them, makes me think its a big waste of money. Thought I would ask around on here if anyone had any luck with them. Went and looked at the V1, is it really as good as it looks guys?

The Valentine 1 has directional arrows that point to the source of the radar signal. This doesn't seem like much untill you use one.The inevitable false signal(there will be few with the V1)can be seen as the arrows follow the door opener or cheap radar detector as you pass.Other radar detectors will just show a"hit"untill you are out of range,so you don't know whether it's a cop a long way off or a door opener right in front of you.I have used a V1 for 5 years and never have gotten a ticket, but you have to know how to use the info provided to you. This comes very quickly as the V1 is very user friendly.V1 also has an update program that allows you to upgrade to a new version for $200.You send in your old detector working or not and they exchange yours for a brand new upgraded unit. The repair program is also great.I sent one in for repair and they sent me a new unit.I know this is what happened because I recieved the new unit before they could have even returned my old one.V1 is a great choice and when my old one finally gives up it's ghost i'll definately get a new one.

yes the v1 and passport escort are great detectors. I purchased on ebay the "silver bullet" sensoro radar detector for 150. I had a cobra before that. Let me tell you, its worth spending the money on a good one and not a cobra because the diference is amazing. With my silver bullet, its small, came with lots of accessories for different mounting, it has a digital readout rather than just little lighted letters, and rarely gives false alarms. ANd it has great range. If i remember right it was also rated very well on one of the websites. I think it was radartest.com

RE: radar/laser jammers
Well only experience ive had with a working radar jammer was in my friends BMW. Motorworks offered an option on the 7series to have a built in radar detector/jammer, and we got bored so decided to test it. Went out to the airport where tehy have those boxes set up showing speeds, and we went by t about 40 mph and it flashed 0, i was amazed. That detector also has little lights below the gauges similar to the V1 one like stand for front one stands for back one stands for side.
I own a V1 my self, an i love it, its always there when i need it and i havent gotten a ticket once since i got it.
