Ok I know it's not related to stangs but it has been bothering me for such a long time now. Spotted this in downtown LA and snapped a pic with my camera phone. Couldn't get one on the front but manged to drive past it to try and find any emblems or logos but couldn't see anything.

Well it definitely can't be a lotus because it was way bigger. Some people told me it may have bee an RX-7 with some kind of body kit, I doubt it though cause it didn't look very import. Maybe it's the aliens....


Anyone know any coppers who can run the plates?

 

looks to me like it is a 93-97 Mazda RX-7 with a wide body kit?. the trunk shape and the tailights are are tellin me this. but ive never seen and rx-7 with side mirrors comin off the body like that. ill do some more research. uve got me interested :]

 

I found another picture, and i also figured out that its a car from the Art Center College of Design Car Classic in Pasedena, california!which means you will probably see this car alot in the LA area. I will solve this mystery if its the last thing i do![>:]

 

Wow! thanks for finding out. Thats the same exact one, same plates. So it's a completely custom made car? what was the original base vehicle?

yea im still doin my best to try to find out. not sure if it was ALL custom based. but i found ONE word thats associated with this car. Ibowen. i dont know who or what it is, but im finding out.
