Carbs are easier for the average mechanic to work on. But injection is the beter system overall

ive seen plenty of mean EFI street machines. open up any mustang magazine and there you go.

i have seen quite a few threads like this in the 5.0 section. try taking a look there.

i dont have any experience with a carb so i really dont know how much help i can be on this topic.

if i were you i would head over to the 5.0 section to get some more educated responses.

carb FTW!! they are easy to tune unlike an efi system where you need to get the ECU chipped or tuned by a pro,

knowldege....fuel injecion are limited to how much each injector will pump out.(so are carbs but its only 4 bolts to change) it is more fuel effeciant, (injectors) but thats about it. you can buy heavier injectors but they are still running off you ecu. with carb setup you can dial in to your EXACT setup by chaning jets and timing..... the mean strip street guys will have up to $3000 just in the carb.

EFI is better in everyway except you can't push start your car...

...if that's a concern... go carb, otherwise, find a good tech, or get familiar/proficient with your EFI system.
