it could be a bad bearing in one of the accessories. does the sound change when you rev it?

stop or change tonewhen you press the clutch?
if so could be throwout bearing.
Idler pullys get that sound too, spray lightly with WD-40 to see if its them, try not to get any on the belt
also 302's are BAD about harmonic balancers. could even be the rubber is shot allowing to spin, my first one squealed about a week, then started clanging around
some ideas Let me know!
GL!!!

Wow, you say he is angry? What he said wasn't that bad, he was merely correcting you and I didn't see anything 'angry' about his post. You were very sarcastic and rude though, I think he deserves an apology.

I'm not much of a car guy either, badsmoker. All I can say is that it sounds like something rotating is squeaking :\

Not sure if this helps or if it's even related, but when I've had bearings split, break, rub, go bad/ etc on my gas scooter, it has always been a grinding sound for me rather than a squeaking.

Good luck!

also could be a fuel pump, i've noticed that on ls1 comaros, sounds just like a cricket and then it will get louder and then the fuel pump dies off. I don't know if mustangs make the same sound or not but just another suggestion
