ok so the other day i was driving and i shifted into 3rd, accelerated then it slipped of of gear. Its now happened a number of times and i dont know whats wrong.Its only 3rd gear no others so i think i must of stripped 3rd gear? Any help is appreciated thanks

 

it could be a couple of things and each one would require you to tear down the tranny to isolate the issue since the problem is only in 3rd.

either way....its rebuild time! [8D]

do you have an aftermarket short throw shifter?

 

no its all stock.

 

its definetely an internal issue then. pull the tranny and check it out.
