Default my buddys 98 ranger

hey guys, just wondering if you have any ideas on what this could be. so, heres the story

we were roading in my buddys 98 ranger (8 inch lift, 33s, and yea a 4 banger 2wd haha) but anyways, we were in our nomal place doing our normal course and we were comming out of the path to the dirt road, and my bussy decides itd be a great picture to get up on the like 2 foot cliff on the side of the paths exit. so he is a dum*ss and goes too far. the truck starts rocking. so we have the back wheel about 2 feet off the ground. Obviously it wont start but anyways, eventually we get it down to the dirt road usining a come along and barley not flipping the truck. so now its on level groun, but wouldnt start... we figured it was the fuel shut of switch, but weve tried both settings on the switch and it wouldnt start. i tried to jump it with my f150 (that i ended up dragging the ranger to the main road with for AAA) and it wont turn. It seems to have power, and the purge valve squirts gas. We dont know what it could be, since the truck stalled when we were bobbing on 2 wheels. were thinking theres an air pocket in the fuel lines so we should purge it fora long time? any ideas will help.

thanks

is the starter turning over?
What about disconnecting the battery for 30 min or so, then trying again?
I wouldnt think there would not be air in fuel system - but trying to purge it some more might work. Maybe put more gas in tank.

The fuel pump is working if you have pressure at fuel rails on engine. Fuel filter isnt clogged up. I wouldnt imagine the injectors (all of them) failed. So, I think that might just leave the spark. Distributor/ignition coil(s) OK?

how much gas he have? 3/4 tank? 1/4 tank? If ya think ya got air in the fuel line you can purge it at teh shrader valve on the fuel rail. will also tell ya if you have fuel pressure. putting a guage on it also be a good idea.
