What would it take to put a 351 windsor engine in a 1984 mustang that has a 3.8 engine

302 motor mounts w/ tranny mount, swap oil pan or a truck oil pan,swap headers. double hump transmission crossmember. thats off the top of my head. its not that hard really.

heres the deal the engine is already in the car but the engine is tilted up on the drivers side and the drivers side header is rubbing the steering shaft and the header on the pass side is almost touching inner fender well another thing is i cant keep the starter bolts tight the keep backing out of the bellhousing there seems to be alot of vibration in the tranny i didnt install the engine i bought the car this way and i appreciate any help on trying to straighten this thing out thanks

you saying vibration im thinking of maybe an incorrect balanced flexplate. does it shake when idling back down? do you know if you have a 50oz or a 28oz??..... do the motor mounts look fairly new? how long ago did he do the swap?.. i would suggest pulling the motor and trans back out and reinstalling with new motor mounts and trans mount. or if you find out what oz. flexplate you have.... that motor needs a 28oz.

it shakes all the time no matter what not sure about the flexplate motor mounts dont look new i was planning on pulling the engine any how so ill check the flex plate to see what it is and put new mounts in and once again thanks for helping out

while your at it, the Flex plate should be the same Oz as the Harmonic balancer.
