Default howdy -needs some help -

hi , need some help - i don't know a lot about stang trannys-
its a v4-and got hard to shift in to 2nd ,and reverse, was told it might be the linkage
doe's the linkage have adjustable rods like a gm?- i haven't got the car yet
so i don't know a lot about the thing- but runs good, and goes in other gears well,so i dont think it would be the clutch- or pressure plate/bearing ect.
-any one a guru in here?- as i am not-lol
or is the shifter mounted on top of the tranny?, and no adjustment-
it is stock
thanks for any ,and all help-

when did they start putting v4's into mustangs? i have never seen that done before. but your problem sounds like it may be the synchros have gone bad, and thats why it wont go into certain gears.

all the cylinder are in a line. Hince inline. V means that the cylenders make the shape of a v. SeanandKate is right no car has a v4 only I4.
