Default longblock/shortblock

What is the difference between a longblock and a shortblock. I know it's a newby question but I gotta find out some how! Thanks a lot, Adam

Order a shortblock and you get just a block. Order a longblock and you get the block (same block) and heads together.

short block includes block, pistons, rods, crank, cam and timing set. Long block contains all that and heads. Not sure on the oil pump. I think on the last long block I bought I had to add the oil pump. May depend on the supplier.

Yeah, longblock is all that was mentioned.
Heads to the oil pan.

Basically everything, but the intake manifold and accessories.
