how-to
ok..i have a 89 5.0 5-speed manual. People i work with keep trying to get me to show them whats its got...and i watched a mustang like mine leave a parking lot today, and when they did, they grabbed 2nd, took off sideways tires smoking and all
this may be a stupid question, but how do i do this? I've never been somebody that really gets into it a lot and i dont even know how to do this.
help?

completely floor the gas? just hold it down? and is there any particular RPM number i should pop the clutch at? or shift at?
sorry but i've never tried anything before other than just normal shifting

First of all i do not suggest you practice this on the streets find an open lot out near nothing back roads arent a good idea because of ditches.
As for RPM i wouldnt go much past 4,000 theres no need to bounce off the rev limiter a stock 5.0 can do what youre asking long before even 4,000.
Also if you arent comfortable tearing your car up for others amusement do not do so.I get this same crap from everyone and unless its worth it i dont. The way i figure it is if you want to see what its got come to the strip.

the only place that they do stuff in their cars is a huge emtpy parking lot so thats where i'd be. And i onlly plan on trying this once for them...if it dont work, it dont work. Not worth my rear end dropping out or something. Figured i'd give it one shot.
