Well I gutted the rear section of my car. Wondering if anyone knows how much weight I lossed... I dont think very much. Almost everything was plastic and very light. I gutted everything except the mach sound equipment starting with the back seats and went all the way thru the trunk.

 

Well I just did a post on weight loss a few days back in the 5.0 section. The back seat alone in my 93 was over 65lb. That was the seat, all the lower belts, bolts, and just the sound deading that was right under the seat. That might give you a ruff idea about yours.

No way my rear seat in my hatch was 65lb's(including belts)

 

my buddt joe said only 20 lbs for rear seats ..may be the insl .and the belts added up ..dont know...whats up ob?

my buddy said the ft bumper and shock are worth 50 lbs..im doingit ..cause its a race car... but i can still drive it one the streeet tooo

 

i got to see what the rear hatch weight ...they make fibre glaasones i will be under 3000 lbs with my 165 lbs ***

 

Its a hatch. It also had a split floding rear seat and was leather so that might change it some. The split folding had an extra metal brace in back that im not sure if the non split folding have. I also weighed the little pull out cargo cover in the 65lbs. But that was with out taking out the two belt retractors. I just had time to take one out yesterday and it was right around 3lbs so total will be around 70. I weighed it on a bathroom scale that allways read just slightly low so it might be a pound or two off. If everyone thinks its closer to 20-30lbs I will recheck it. I got my new front seat in yesterday so I will be weighing the old seat vs new anyway. Im just waiting for the seat adapters and 4 point harness but they wont be in until monday.
