Need help please!!

I plan on purchasing this car. I want to know, What do you Mustang owners think about it?
Where would i start to make it a reliable everyday use car?
I mean i think it looks legit, what do you think?
If its legit, and just needs some work, What could i do to add on it and make it faster with more HP?
I'm sorry i wish i could be more up to par but I'm planning on buying my first mustang, the oldies just amaze me.

It doesn't look too bad.
The value needs further research.It might be worth $6,000 or it might not.
The underhood wiring job is definately second rate and needs more attention.
The body looks to be fairly sound but has been painted.There is a lot of overspray on the underhood area.
I would rather see a trunk full of parts than to have to redo stuff someone else did poorly.
Depending on the historical value of the car,numbers,original parts,etc,I may or may not modify the car.If there is no collector value left in the vehicle you could do the heads put in a mild cam,and use the intake that's in the trunk.A slightly larger carb might be needed if there's not one already installed.A modern ignition system will also help with starting and fuel economy.
The transmission leak might be an expensive repair or not,it depends on where it's leaking.Front seal=$$$$$ The tranny will need to be removed and the seal replaced.
Rear seal or pan=$$ the driveshaft will have to be removed and thold seal pulled and the new seal pressed in.Pan gasket is about the same level of ability.You can do both of these yourself with minimal tools.
It's kind' a toss up.Look the car over and make your decision.

Your gonna wana get a good look at the front fram rails. I have heard of them being completely rotted and some mojo's using bondo/fiberglass to hid the rot. bring a smal magnet and anything that looks wave out the magnet over it to make sure it's metal and not bondo or fiberglass. none of the body parts or the fram should have fiberglass or bondo. If it does than there may be alot of work it needs.
