First Tech Post...looking for some help!
Hello,
I got a feeling you will be seeing a lot of me around here in the future. We just bought a 1999 3.8L vert for my wife. The list is long but I need to start with the big problems first. The rear shocks appear to be shot...everytime you hit a bump in the road it sounds like metal on metal. Also something is aweful with the front brakes....hit the pedal and the steering wheel shakes like mad. So to begin I was wondering if there was a factory service manual of sorts that you guys reference online or download and next maybe some write ups on shock replacement and front brake jobs. I tried with little success to search...so I thought I would just come out and ask.
Thank you for your time!

Yo welcome to Stang ownership
How good are you working on mechanical stuff? If your just average/shadetree then I'd recommend going to an auto store & buying a Haynes or Chiltons manual for your year car. They aren't as detailed as official shop manuals but they aren't nearly as expensive either.
And, you can't beat being able to have your finger on an open shop manual beside your car while your working on it! Online manuals don't let you do this
