Default question about camshafts

Are the 87-93 5.0 camshafts the same as the 94-95 cams? are they identical or slight differences.

Its the same engine so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

The grind may be different on the 94-95's but otherwise it's the same.

They will fit but the grind is slighlty different I believe. But my main question is why? If you are going to put a cam in get one that will match the rest of your mods and give you more power.

I am pretty sure they are the same -- Ford Engineering number E8ZE-6250-CA.

well im doing an HO conversion on my 89 Lincoln towncar, and i know the 87-93 will fit, but nothing more aggressive. So if the 94-95 is any more aggressive, it would cause serious piston to valve clearance issues b/c my pistons do not have valve reliefs.

What is the biggest cam you can put in a '95 5.0 Cobra W/ Factory '95 cobra heads
I need to know what cam works best. Ported Cobra intake, heads, bigger throttle body, and 5speed. I heard .512" lift is the max you can go w/out clearance problems and am thinking about the Ford Racing f-303 cam. My Pistons are Factory, rockers, everythin is factory, but it wont be soon.
