Default service engine soon light came on, help!

OK for the first time ever my SES light came on and it threw a code P0153 which states: Upstream heated O2 sensor curcuit slow response(Bank 2). But does anyone have any idea what it means?

when we were putting on my dual exhaust my friend unplugged something i was told it was probly the o2 sensor. My ses light came on and all I had to do was unplug the battery and hook it back up. SO I don't know if that's the same as what happened to you but if it is then maybe that will help you. Even if it's not maybe it'd be worth a try.

Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a try and any other opinions from those of you who know your stuff about these kinds of things (not to say you don't crazycass) would be appreciated.

if the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) is coming on, then the computer has sensed a problem with a computer controlled componant...
the code you are getting is an o2 slow response...most likely you have a tired o2 sensor...if the sensor was unplugged you would get a code that said no response...
upstream bank 2 will be the driver side front sensor...
although unhooking the battery does turn off the light, it does not clear the code out of the computer...in order to clear the code you must use a scanner
i would recomend having the code cleared at a local repair shop or have person that pulled the code clear the code...
if it comes back on replace the sensor...

No problem I know that i"m not a genius when it comes to cars but I'm learning. I never had to run a code on my car because we knew why the light came on. If you do try just unplugging the battery and the light is still on I'd have to say what everyone else has said. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

UPDATE: OK what we just ended up doing was clearing the code with the handheld tuner and it hasn't come back on since. If it does I guess I'll just reaplce it.
