Lightbulb Brake problem, grinding sound?

Hey everyone,

Got a problem and i'm a noob on brakes so advice if possible, please?

When I put the car in drive or reverse, everything sounded OK a month ago, but now when i pop it into reverse or drive (or park for that matter) it seems like the brakes aren't catching very well. It still stops, but my brakes feel like they're not completely in tact when doing so. Also, everytime i stop, i hear a grinding noise, sounding like metal on metal, coming from the front of my car. Can someone advise me on what I need to do? I replaced the brake pads and they were ok, so could it be something else? My first reaction was the pads, but i'm thinking maybe the calipers or the rotor itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

its probably your rotors. it might be time to get some new ones. or turn them. (grindem smooth) make sure you tightend your capliper bolts down to spec.
