Default Floppy seat backs

I have an '84 and the seat back locks don't catch anymore(the little lever in the seat back). All the junk yard cars with this mechanism do not lock either.I discovered that the newer latches with the back release at the bottom can be used on the older seats. The upholstery for the seat back zips across the bottom and can be opend up. Then you can slide it up for access to the bolts after you remove the plastic covers.
