Default Shorty Antenna

Which shorty antenna should I go with? I dont want to spend more than $40 on one, and it must get good reception. The shorter the better

Please let me know what you use (how good of reception it gets, and length it is) and where you got it. And if you know--How much$$.

-Thanks, Max

I just bought a 14" one from AM and it worked good till I ran through the first car wash. Didn't notice till the next day it was gone! Also I live over 40 miles from the nearest radio station so I didn't want to loose reception either.

Ah! That sucks! Hopefully you kept your stock one...

I think I'm going to go with a 3" one for $20 on ebay.

go to a salvage yard and buy a stock antenna, use a vise grip to remove the ball on the end, measure the length you want, and cut the antenna with a grinder. then file the end so the ball will fit back on, and touch up with some black spray paint. i just did this yesterday and it took about 5 minutes. cost me $5

I bought the AM shorty antenna even before I bought my car and put it on as soon as I drove my car home. While I cannot really compare the stock one to the shorty one, I can tell you that my reception is CRISP and I have no problems at all.

^^ Thats what I would do, especially if you are trying to be on the cheap route.
