Unhappy Engine Pings on Acceleration ??

Hi all I have a 99 v6 auto Stang with a newly installed set of Autolite platinum plugs and a set of Autolite Professional wires. It pings on acceleration any ideas on what could cause this...? Other than this it runs fine and starts good ??

Thanks

I could be completely wrong but check your oil. I had a mate's Ford Escape make a clicking sound ( If that's what you mean by ping ) when ever he hit the gas.

The combustion chamber might have a lot of carbon buildup accumulated from lots of slow RPM stop-&-go driving, etc.. You could try & clean some of that out with combustion chamber cleaner (mixes with the gas)

Also how clean is your air filter?

Finally try some higher octane gas & see if that helps
