Default GUYS NEED YOUR HELP

my friend and i raced today. We are both 18 and he has a lincoln LS, an automatic. I have a '99 GT with a cold air intake, throttle body, and plasma booster chip thing(dont know quiet what this is, bought the car used). My car is an automatic, which i wish it wasn't. He dusted me today. The lincoln has a tiptronic shifter thing but he didnt use it, he just floored it as i did as well. So I floored it and his car was so much quicker. What should i get so i can go faster off the line, something that will help me accelerate faster for an automatic?

3.73 or 4.10 gears will make your off the line quickness alot better, while sacrificing top end power you probably never use. However if you do alot of highway driving this may not be ideal.

Also you could get a shift kit for your automatic that will greatly reduce lag between shifts. The mods you have currently don't do anything power wise, and neither do the things I mentioned, but they will definitely help with your quickness.

If you have money get heads/intake/camshaft or a supercharger.

I have an 03 GT, curious as to where you would get a shift kit for an auto?

Any help would be great

All I can say is i drove one of the 280hp LS's and they are definitely quick, I couldn't believe the top end that car had, pulls past 80 no sweat. Also I noticed the tranny is very close ratio keeping the RPMs high through the gears, helps huge.

I was told for my mach about 600 bucks for install... If you have extra cash I would recommend 4.10's, go to a 31 spline rear, sticky tires, and possibly a converter. Thats if you have money to blow. If not go with 4.10s.
