I have a 94 mustang gt with a 5-speed in it. i cant decide wether or not i want cold air intake, ram air, or wait until someone makes the shaker kit for a 5.0. what is everyones opinions on this. thanks alot. ryan.

 

ram is does virtually nothing so the ram air kit is a waste of money. the shaker kit would only be good for the looks. the cold air kit would be the best only in that its the cheapest. all 3 will make the same horsepower so id buy the cheapest...unless you really want the shaker kit for looks. air is just not dense enough to be forced in by a ram air kit

 

looks like ill be getting cai. is there much difference in a $40 kit i can get off ebay and a $175 kit that has a brand name on it?? isnt it just a pipe and a filter?? or is there that much more of a gain with a brand named one. i know they arent that noticeable, but can you tell the difference between the 2?

 

a cai is just a tubing and filter you are right

 

get an ebay kit. its a pipe and filter, nothing more. no you cant feel 2hp. save yourself the money and get something like gears or heads...something you will really notice
