transmission cold slipping
I have an FMX transmission in a 1970 mach 1 351 cleveland.
Anyway the car runs GREAT!! with the exception of when I start up and drive the first 4-5 miles. It shifts real nice from 1st to second anytime, but from 2nd to 3rd it takes about 4-5 miles to shift without slipping first.. to describe it better, first off its an automatic... so from a complete stop you gas car shifts real nice to second then when you gas the RPM's go up to about 4500-5000 real fast and then it will shift into 3rd. it does this until warmed up then shifts good all around.
