Cool European Fuel

I've just recently moved to Spain, where they seem to use a slightly different type of gas. I've been told it's the same gas they use all over Europe. However, i have no idea if any of these are up to par with american gas. They only have two type which are regular unleaded (95 octane) and premium unleaded (98 octane). Clearly the octane on both are higher, however i've been told that the quality of gas is much lower, and isnt as clean as american. Anyone have any knowledge whatsoever on this matter? Oh, and what kind of racing fuel is safe to use on my car if I want to switch back and forth between that and unleaded.

Damn man, 98 octane would require a better tune I think. As far as the gas being 'dirty'...unless you are in the middle of nowhere in Spain, it shouldn't be crappy, dirty gas. People around there use the gas too. lol Anyway, I would get a strainer, like maybe a paper funnel and filter some gas through it and see if there is any debris in it. I would do some out of a couple of different sources. If there is debris, then worry about how to filter it out of your system. That is what I would do anyway
