i have always run synthetic, in all my vehicles. and read the owners manual, i think it says 5w30...but just use what ever weight it tells you too.

I run 10W-30 Royal Purple. Amsoil, Redline and Royal Purple are the premium synthetics out there. Mobile 1 is also pretty good.

I have also run Mobil 1 in many cars with excellent results. Took the head off a T-Bird Turbo to do a little work with the cam and valve springs and that engine looked spotless, just like new. Always ran Mobil 1 in that baby. If you are interested in a pretty good price on Royal Purple, Pep Boys now carries it at $5.99 a quart. Not bad since Mobil 1's new retail price is now $5.29 in the same store. Pep Boys does run specials on Mobil 1 alot at $3.99 a quart with a maximum of 12 quarts allowed at one time. Bottom line: ALL synthetics will do a much better overall job for you than conventional oils. Higher rpm's, more HP, longer drain intervals, zero sludging of any kind, better hot and cold weather running....pours like it's July at almost -50 degrees in the winter.

Yeah, Mobil 1 is the bottom of the food chain regarding synthetic oils, but still better than dino oils. I use Redline oils and their filters.
