Just a thought right now--Upgrade to GT
There is another thread out there about this.
Anyway I have some questions about upgrading from my 07 V6 to a GT.
First of all I dont want to downgrade the year. It must be an 07 or newer GT.
What can I expect to get for my Clean V6 basic package, 25k Miles (I JUST hit 25k, so right on the dot) for a trade in?Still has Factory Warranty etc. no damage or anything. Taken care of well.
Secondly I'm not married and under 25 years old so I'm guessing my insurance will go up with a GT. My previous car was a Mazda 626 and my insurance went up $50 when I got a Mustang. What can I expect it to go up when I get a GT? I had 2 tickets in the passed, but that was 2.5+ years ago so I dont think they look at those anymore... That would be the #1 reason I wont get a GT if insurance goes up a lot...

Stang prices can vary greatly depending on where you live, what time of year it is ,, etc. Check out a local online used car website & see how much other people are asking for similar cars, that'll be a good reference.
For insurance quotes, by all means GO to your insurance agent & asking them for a quote before upgrading! They'll tell ya

You should check NADA.com for the used car prices, that is what dealers and insurance companies use. Also, your rates should move to much. If you are unsure, pick up the phone and call your agent, they will tell you whatever you need to know. The agent is on your side, so believe me, they don't bite.

Actually, insurance doesn't use NADA. They review prices of the surrounding area and provide an average to the user. Aren't the nada prices are average acrossed the country? The insurance company, at least mine, provides a average based on a wide selection of cars in the same range.
You may be right, but, when a car is a borderline total, insurance companies DO use NADA to run the value of the vehicle to determine the threshold. In MD the threshold is 75% but a company can total it anywhere from 65-75%. Of course, this is only in the MD DC area, don't know about every other state.
