last night i was driving my stang and it all of a sudden started like choking and shut off. the power was still on but the motor stopped. i shut the car off and then turned it back on a few minutes later and it started fine. i then parked it and went in the house. ever since i put headers on the car ive been having problems up the ***. what could this possibly by, some peole said its the fuel pump, some peope said its the ignition. i dont know, i cant keep throwin money in the car if i dont know exactly whats going on? can someone make me out a check list of all the possible things that might be wrong, there was no check engine light so i dont know if it was something minor or a major flaw in the computer. i drive a 4.6 liter gt. thanks

Have a light on? No codes?

Clean your IAC, replace it even (35 bucks?). New Fuel filter.

Start with that.

 

Make sure you have fuel pressure at the schrader fitting,about 45 lbs I think.I had a computer chip flip out on a Linc.MK VIII once and it would do the same thing.It would just start losing power and eventually die.Turn the key off and it would start and run fine.If there's a chip in the car try removing it and see what effect that has.
