Default fuel system problem

Ok. After going through like 11 pages of posts I don't see any that pertain to my exact problem. So here goes. (If there is a post exactly like this. Please tell me.) Ok. Here are my car symptoms. When I start the car, it sits quiet for a few seconds then sputters to life. It especially does this its cold outside (less then 60 degrees). I've taken it to an engine specialist. The fuel filter has been replaced, the fuel pump tested (It's good. Within the normal range.), the battery tested (It's good), and the MAF sensor has been checked and cleaned. It acts like it doesn't get enough fuel. I've got a straight pipe exhaust but that shouldn't effect it since the symptoms started before it was put in. Please help! I hate having a car that sounds bad when it starts.

Check for codes? Put some water remover in the gas tank and see if that helps first.

It threw several codes but they were all taken care of. One was for the MAF sensor. The guy cleaned it and things got a little better. I've checked the gas that goes in and it seems to be ok. ill double check it and add the H20 remover. Does the remover mess with Fuel Injection Cleaner? Cuz I've had the Lucas stuff put in.

Water remover wont affect cleaners that i am aware of. I never use cleaners anyway as loose build-up from the cleaning could clog the injectors and may not fully clean a severely clogged injector. Since you bring that up could be the problem you are having, i wasnt even thinking about cleaners.

The guy I took it to said the injectors were in good shape. fairly clean, and only slightly worn. I've been using the cleaner stuff since I got the car 2 years ago. I really don't have a clue what's wrong with the car. Nobody else seems to either. I guess its that the car is old. You know how old cars get. Give them one taste of money or parts and they want more, more, more. lol

Disconnect your MAF. Start it up and see if it stays the same. I had a simular problem, mine was MAF related. It was when I washed the engine or if it rained hard. Water was somehow getting into the intercooler tube connected to my MAF and I'm guessing that the water was making my car run like crap, sputtering and bucking at WOT. That another stupid procharger design for ya. Maybe you can remove the MAF and spray the sensor with starting fluid and see if that helps again.

Was the MAF just dirty in your car? Mine was dirty and the guy cleaned it. After that the car ran a little better.

Its too complicated to explain at 10 after 5 in the morning but moisture was getting on the MAF sensor and making my car run like crap..can I say that word.
